The outcomes of the community assessment will be presented to the Grant County Commission and all municipalities, especially specific data that pertains to their community. The results of the survey will be available on-line at the Health Council's website and in print by contacting our office.
Preliminary outcomes should be available by December 2012. The preliminary results will be available in the Grant County Profile 2013, a compilation of data and statistics specific to Grant County, NM.
Please contact us if you are interested in receiving a copy of the profile, which is used as tyhe foundation of the Grant County Health and Wellness Plan, a document that directs the Grant County Board of Commissioners in their work to better the quality of life for residents.
Work on the Community Assessment began in February 2012 with 15 focus groups throughout Grant County. Over 150 community members particiated in the focus groups held in Bayard, Cliff-Gila, Hachita, Hurley, Mimbres, Santa Clara, Silver City, and Tyrone. These focus groups helped us refine the survey questions. After the survey, we will post the results of the focus groups.
